Ashrafi Anjuman Sneha

Ashrafi Anjuman Sneha is a science enthusiast, passionate about learning and giving back to the community through real life problem solving and opportunity building. Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at Independent University Bangladesh, she is a Founding Director of STEM Community IUB and the Chief Editor of STEMc’s Newsletter “Spectrum”.

Sneha has been determined to make a difference through the implementation of knowledge. She is the former Chief Academic Officer at the “Health and Hygiene Olympiad”, where she developed the syllabus aimed to fill the knowledge gap that exists between the underprivileged children and their privileged counterparts, preparing them to compete on an equal footing through this platform, while also teaching them important life skills and raising awareness.

Sneha is also experienced in international outreach as a Senior Executive at “Community of Biotechnology” at the International Relations departments where she connects with scientists worldwide, organizes and hosts different events like “DNA Fest, 2021” chaired by esteemed Nobel Laureates like Ada Yonath.

She is also involved with the “Life Sciences Club, IUB” as a treasurer, a student tutor, and more. Besides she is involved in many social and innovation projects as well as research. Her current research work focuses on molecular detection and extraction of Azurin protein from Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.

Sneha is driven by her curious nature, always enthusiastic to learn, teach and preach.
